Integral Formation is the harmonious development of all dimensions of the human person.  The Highlands School guides students to realize their full potential, by focusing on the following four areas of formation:

Apostolic Formation
As followers of Christ, all Catholics are called to serve others.  Students at The Highlands School participate in individual and group outreach programs.  The objective is to prepare young men and women who will use all the vigor of their youth to respond to the spiritual and material needs of those around them.

Character Formation
Students are formed to be mature, responsible young men and women with solid Christian values.  The Highlands School prepares students to assume leadership roles in a competitive and changing world.  The school develops leadership qualities through virtue education, mentoring and supporting students participation in the Leadership Training Program, Challenge Club for girls, Everest Club for boys and the Model UN Program.

Intellectual Formation
The Highlands School's rigorous college preparatory program consists of disciplined study in sciences, history, mathematics, literature, religion and philosophy.  Students are guided in their study through lectures, small seminars, and laboratory work.  Academic advisers provide personal attention to each student.

Spiritual Formation
Students at The Highlands School are taught to live their Catholic faith and begin a lifelong friendship with Jesus Christ.  A special emphasis is placed on loving as Jesus loved.  Priests of the congregation of the Legionaries of Christ, and consecrated men and women of the Regnum Christi Movement direct students' formation and also provide individual spiritual guidance.
